Jaeger LeCoultre 187T670 wrist watches news:
I know this subject has been discussed many times, but I wanted a current opinion. I am looking to buy a SS Daytona with a white face. I have acess to both the Zenith model and the newer all Rolex with the 4130 movement. I know all the differences. Is the Zenith a better choice because it is no longer made or is the newer model with what some say are far better improvemnts the way to go. I know there are "vintage" proponents and "New" folks. The location of the sub dials and size of the hands don't really matter to me. Your opinion and why will be appreciated as I would like to buy very shortly. Thanks.
I got this Rolex from my dad years ago. It was his first Rolex, which my grandfather bought for my father when he was in college.I think it is Rolex Oyster Date (that's what it says) and currently the watch doesn't work. Not only it doesn't work, the winding knob can completely come out of the watch Does it make sense to repair this Rolex? I am guessing it won't be cheap to rebuild the watch. I would like to get this working again (family history, emotional value, etc.), but trying to see how much a rebuild would cost.Should I go to Rolex AD or a regular watch repair shop?
You may have seen what seems to be quite a reasonable GE award Savitar II being auctioned online....Reasonable - until one looks at the images of the case back. Good grief! What on earth would cause this type of damage? Or could it be a result of a dodgy casting?
It has been a year of AP madness for me and I figured out there is a need to take a break from the buying and flipping, and time for some soul searching. So this will be the perfect full stop before a self-imposed exile. Some quick iPhone photos fresh from the box. I love AP WayneSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
