This week's Bring A Loupe will be chronograph heavy. You will discover a very rare Breitling, manufactured for the Italian army, as well as two chronographs from Zenith, one featuring the iconic El Primero movement. Expect to also learn more about some incredible vintage watches from Rolex, starting with the unavoidable Daytona with Paul Newman dial, and concluding with a rare, early prototype of the Rolex Day-Date. I blame it all on Dennis! After seeing his Longines I posted a wtb ad on timezone and this one came up! I think it's a keeper too, and honestly I like it more than some of my Omegas. Just got my PAM-112 today and I'm pretty much extatic.Just wanted to ask if it would be sensible to remove the two screws holding the crown guard in place to dettach it. The crown guard is full of gunk (because I bought a used one) and I would like to run it in my ultrasound cleaner (basically suspend it into water that's vibrating really fast). Do you see any reason not to?
