Has anyone ever over looked over a watch before?
I don't want to say that I'm one of those watch snobs who only buy's high end brands because I can't afford them lol, Or because I might dislike a watch because of the movement. I do admit I do like automatic and mechanical movements over quartz even though i happen to own both automatic and quartz. So I guess what I'm asking is does anyone here ever over look a watch because of name and movement.

Question of size
As I'm waiting for the 5712 to arrive I was wondering about size and weight. So if you own a SS Daytona and a 5712a are they basically the same size and weight? Do you have a comparison photo? Some have talked about the larger lugs but by looking at pictures they seem to be the same size. Although the 5712 doesn't appear to have traditional looking lugs. As far as my wrist is concerned I think it will fit fine.

Ways I have damaged a watch
In honor of my new TRF pal who just bought his very first Rolex, I though it would be good for us to collectively warn him about the worldly dangers that lurk for our watches. I shall begin:Gasoline/Petrol/SolventsWhile filling my car with fuel, the petrol splashed back onto the watch and melted the water seals. Not a cheap fix. Now I ALWAYS have my watch arm behind my back when at the pumps.
