Seiko SSA007 wrist watches news:
Well, I'm not - but my Corum Temps Mecanique is. I bought it a few years ago off eBay, and the seller did a masterful job of hiding (or Photoshopping out) the damages. Then they disappeared. My credit card company covered me though, and now this poor thing is off to Corum for a spa treatment. Here are the "before" shots.Scratches and scuffs all over the place, including the polished bezel:Missing crown guards and more scratches:Did somebody try to open this with a chisel?:It's one of the few two tone watches I like (the others being the Rolex Sub and IWC Portofino) so we'll see how it turns out. Full details including pics & prices upon return. ps - Maggie in the NY office and Victor in the CA location were both very pleasant to deal with. Let's see if Corum's work measures up to the politeness of their staff.
Calfskin, pigskin, leather, boar, ostrich, alligator, crocodile, ss, titanium, or any other exotic material I might have missed....So with all of the choices in watchbands out there, which is your favorite? And how do you pick the color for the watch? My new favorite is wild boar, or sometimes called peccary. Very soft, supple, nicely grained and alot of colors all at a great price. I'm thinking that many of my vintage watches will be seeing these bands...
The date doesn¡¯t seem to be perfectly centered in the window of my Tudor Black Bay steel. Anyone else notice an issue with their black Bay steel or their Pelagos?
Lately, have been alternating between d-blue and BB Bronze (16710 has been feeling too small). Needed something to help scratch the more traditional black dial diver but with better “wrist presence” itch
