Germany’s A. Here’s what you need to know. The A. Lange & S?hne 1815 Tourbillon Handwerkskunst stakes its claim to horological history as the first Lange watch that combines two of the brand’s patented mechanisms: a zero-reset function (introduced in a watch in 1997) and a stop-seconds device for the tourbillon (which made its debut in a 2008 model). This combination of functions, Lange says, enables the user to stop and set the watch with to-the-second accuracy.Equally as impressive as the technical feat achieved by this timepiece ¡ª limited to just 30 pieces, each in a 39.5-mm rose gold case ¡ª is the array of finishes employed on both interior and exterior elements. When I was a kid, the FBI and the media had a name for the mob. . . MURDER INC. I got to thinking about watch collecting hobbyists like us and concluded that while we aren't moidering anyone, we seem to be an organized, well oiled group of enablers. As new members discover us here in our little corner of the internet, we innocently enable them to spend $$ on watches they don't need, cojole them into posting pix of those watches here for our enjoyment, all in the name of entertainment.. . our entertainment. We are so well organized that the Feds might have a RICO warrant out on us right this very minute. So, are we enablers or not? Opinions?
Mornin all, juat wondering if anyone knew about the duromat 25 jewel automatics? I have one no dial just clean working movement and have no idea what kind of watch it is from. Any ideas would be helpful, I just wanted to know what dial and hands to put on it? it has a day/date as well.
Hi guys,Not long ago I flipped my 5712 that I dearly loved, to finance part of a very good investment, I had hesitated to sell the AP but decided to sell the PP as the AP had a very special number for me.So happy I did, it's been discontinued and seems they made less than 600, so it's quite limited and exclusive IMO, how many 5712 do you think have been made throughout the years? Probably much more but how many? around 5-6000? Anyone know how many were made each year? In any case as much as I loved my Patek getting it back will be way easier than a CE diver, plus the prices might soar due to unavailability¡.
