Omega has announced the launch of the Seamaster Planet Ocean Liquidmetal in a limited edition of 1948 pieces, in honor of the year the Seamaster was launched. The watch features a ceramic bezel with the numbers and scale made from Liquidmetal, an alloy created by Swatch Group researchers collaborating with Omega’s product development team. Liquidmetal is an amorphous metal ¨C a metallic material with a disordered, non-crystalline atomic structure. Its fusion temperature is half that of conventional titanium alloys but when it is cooled, its hardness is three times as great as that of stainless steel. Its amorphous structure allows it to bond seamlessly with the ceramic bezel.The Liquidmetal is a bulk metallic glass alloy consisting of five elements: zirconium, titanium, copper, nickel and beryllium. Now that's accurate!
Decided to wear the TT Yacht-Master today.. Been probably 6 or 7 weeks since it's been worn, maybe more. During that time it's just been sitting on the winder. Had to change the time on it of course to roll it back an hour due to the time change this weekend. What did I notice when I went to change the time? The watch was 8 seconds fast. 8 seconds fast after a minimum of 6-7 weeks on the winder?? Yea - I think I'll live with that Well done Rolex!!

Thoughts on this Combo?
What do you guys think of this combo? I'm really please with the quality and fit, not to mention it's shorter than my OEM rubber!

Is that a lint on the sub dial?
Well, I presumed it was on the outside of the watch when I was taking macro shots. But it's indeed in the inside. How could that have happened? I'm hoping it's not the crystal, but judging by all angles, I think it's a lint the dial. Should I bother and send it in? I really don't like getting my watch tampered with. It's visible if I focus on it. And now I do every time I look at the watch. I see myself just forgetting about in the future though.

I had 2 DSSD's ( i like it) and decided to trade one in on a 47mm Breitling Chronomat GMT ( Black face/steel bracelet)Now I have Rolex's and Breitlings biggest baddest watches!I must say the GMT is one large piece of metal. Feels even bigger than the DSSD. Sorry for the iphone pics.I like the feel of a larger heavy watch and they both fit the bill.I must say I like them both equally. Anyone else have this combo?
