New and need educating
So a few years ago, my wife and I were in Grand Cayman on our honeymoon and I saw a Blue LE James Bond that I loved. I really wanted it but decided that the money was best kept since we were a new couple. A year or so ago we were in Nassau and I found the newer black LE James Bond model and it again started the lust machine. I again passed it but this time it has been harder to forget. I recently started looking online but was afraid to get screwed. I thought it was best to find a forum and ask some questions. I started reading here but got even more confused. When I see "2254.50", that is a model right?What price range can I expect for the black LE James Bond model? Should I look online or wait and look again when we head back to the Caribbean? We average about once a year.Sorry for these being newbie questions, but I didn't see a FAQ.

Amazing fit and finish...
Dear friends, I finally had some free time this weekend to sit down and plan on something I had thinking of for days ... I.E. Take a few leisurely shots of the PO9300 and to try and dress it up for the fall ... Summer is gone and gone are the sweaty days .. Calatrava v. Chevron ('Henri Stern') deployant clasp
Having managed to satisfy myself with the help of responses to another of my threads, that the 5140 that I have just acquired did not have a rogue clasp (it had no Calatrava rose and turns out to be a since-discontinued 'chevron' or 'Henri stern' clasp), I have followed up on TRF and a few other forums as to the differences. Whilst there is plainly an identified issue with the safety of the chevron clasp, there is a sizeable body of opinion that strongly prefers it to the more traditional Calatrava clasp, for a whole variety of reasons. Not only that, but there are those that actually mourn its passing and regret that it is now very hard to find the chevron clasp.As this is my 'entry level' first PP, I have nothing to compare the chevron clasp with.
