When buying a pre-loved ROLEX, I've read that you can send it off for a servicing, where the watch returns "good as new". I'm asuming this servicing takes place at ROLEX hq, but does anyone know what exactly they do to the watch? Do they replace blemished hour markers, dial features, bezels & crystalsor simply run over it with a scrub brush and give 'er an oil change? Admittedly $500 for a service would be considered absurd by any non-WIS, so I'm just curious what to expect should I buy 2nd hand and invest in a service.Thanks.
I probably should have asked this earlier, but I didn't have much time, so I bid on one and won it for what seemed like a very good price, and to me it's quite a striking looking watch. I think it comes from a liquidator of either overstock or discontinued items. They do guarantee authenticity, which was really all I cared about considering the price. It has a stainless bracelet, mineral crystal, quartz movement, and a two tone black/silver face with the date at 4:00.Thanks for any info you can give!
I have a Casio G-Shock DW5600E which has a bit of water damage. I had opened it up and lost the gasket. Eventually I found the gasket, re-lubed it, and put it back in. Yesterday I was washing my hands, I wear my watches low on my wrist, almost touching my hand, and some water hit it. The display started fading away so I opened it up and found water all over it's insides. I stuck the module under my fridge for a few hours and it dried. I put it all back together but this time replaced the screws, which were striped before. Now I am afraid to put it in water to make sure it's still water resistant. I need to find out since I swim regularly and I need my watch for swimming. I just need it for at least swimming, I'm not a snorkeler or diver or anything. I just need it for swimming and washing my hands and stuff. It's usually 200m water resistant by the way. Thanks!
Hi everyone. Time for a new Pam and I'm having trouble deciding. 42mm is the size for me and I already had a 392. I like both the 523 and 535. Really like the steap and the dial on the 535 but GMT feature is not a big deal for me. I like the thought of a white dial on the 523 because all my other watches are black dials. Straps dont really matter because I can always change those up. Thoughts?
