JeanRichard 24006-11-91A-AA9D wrist watches news:
Hey guys,Long time listener and I am happy to say I bought my first Omega last night. I have a few concerns / Questions. I picked up a black seamaster 300m automatic Chrono. The first question I had after reviewing the book and the reference cards was the Calibre number. Mine has #1164. I am not sure what this is. Does it let you know something about the watch? does every watch have a different number? I also have a Ref number (21330424001001) and a Watch number (84793434) listed. The pictogram with the Calibre number also states the watch is good for 30 bars, but the watch itself says 300M / 1000FT which is 300 bars. Did I receive the wrong cards with the watch? Any help for my novice questions would greatly be appreciated. Also, upon opening the red box at home i noticed a lot of the red coating was peeling away from it. Should this be a concern? I am not planning on selling it anytime soon, but i have heard people like the box to be in good condition. I figure buying an expensi
Rolex watches are guarantied to be within -4/+6 seconds a day. However, most can be regulated to better accuracy. (Mine is + 0.5 s a day.)How accurate can you expect a Patek to be (with and without a tourbilion)? Are tourbilions really more accurate than other watches or are the tourbilion just an interesting complication without any real impact on accuracy?
Here's an article and video on the Devon Works Tread 1 watch. It's a pretty interesting use of technology, but i definitely isn't my cup of tea, especially at $15k.Devon Works Tread 1 belt-driven, bulletproof wristwatch tested, proven to actually tell time (video) Engadget
After swearing off digital watches and becoming a general watch snob, and then saying I wasn't going to buy any more I went and got two of these...I had a coupon so they were $70 a piece- one for me and one for my son.Bye-bye Longines and Omega hello Casio! I had to do something to get me away from wearing that dang Longines...I just couldn't ever take it off...now this thing I bought...well it's huge and it's freakin' awesome, gadgets galore and hopefully tough as a G-Shock (or close)...its spent the last few weeks hunting and branding cattle. Yes the compass and altimeter work great too...sooo I'm back to a basic digital...for now.
