Longines Longines 1294 wrist watches news:
The Combat B line of watches by L¨¹m-Tec appeal to that macho side of our aesthetics; the side that looks at a mud covered truck or a stealth plane in flight and can't help but think "cool". They are tough, bold tanks-of-a-watch that beckon you to test their capabilities. Born from a history of military designs, they manage to do more than emulate the aesthetic; they live up to the name "Combat".?Yet, they are not dumb brutes, but rather refined watches that can be worn in or out of active circumstances. The Combat B16 and Super Combat B2 represent the current top-of-the-line for the series. The B16 is the mechanical 3-hand version of the standard Combat style and the Super Combat is a new larger titanium version with a hand wound movement. On the surface, they appear very similar, and they both appeal to the same aesthetic, but differences, both subtle and significant, make them very different watches. In this side-by-side review we take a look at the watches, comparing and contrasting
Gruen automatic, 38mm wide x 48mm over the lugs, 17mm between the lugs, paid $145. Looks to be vintage 1970's by the case style. Upper crown sets the time. Lower crown turns the inner ring with the city names. Not sure yet how to set/read the world time function; I'll have to search the 'net.
Promised to post a few snaps. Forgive the poor quality. Wanted to get some of the dial texture while keeping it all in focus, but depth of field didn't work out too well. Will replace it I get better ones. My personal assessment is the flash slightly lightens the blue.
Was looking at the Avenger II with a cobra yellow dial. Black rubber Breitling strap. Anyone have one?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
A bit late, but after the rush of Christmas, I have finally sat down to play with my Christmas watches from my partner. My latest incomings, glad to have the LV back in the fold, as it is one watch that I loved and regretted selling. First time for a DJ 36 and actually its the one watch I have worn over the most of Christmas a wrist shot from Christmas day.
