Hello, After wondering for some time who and where to ask about watches I decided that here might be a good option. I am looking for a watch that is not of a high price( not over 400 - 500$ ) and is preferably Swiss made. I really like Omega, Rolex etc. yet as I said currently I cannot afford one of these so I am probably looking for a Tissot or Candino perhaps. I am not quite well informed about these brands( or any other ) and would like to ask you for any information that might be of good use. Any other brands which fall into that price frame are welcome. Something like this is nice : shoptissot/mm5/mercha...ode=mens_sport Or shoptissot/mm5/mercha...ode=mens_sport . As you see I prefer steel cases, sapphire glass maybe and a tougher look; quartz movement is good for me. Yet for me durability is most important. Thank you in advance and I hope that with your help I will choose the right watch. :)
I'd like your thoughts on my experience (so far). Let me start by saying I do not consider myself a collector and have never before today spent over $500 on a watch.I really hope I'm not getting screwed. I just purchased my first Rolex today. A Oyster Perpetual 36mm with a Red Grape dial. After doing a lot of research online for sellers with positive ratings I came across a company called Avi & Co New York. They are a seller on Crono24 with great reviews and have excellent reviews across Yelp. They also have a physical store in New York.As I wait for my watch to be shipped and delivered I am having some buyers remorse anxiety of buying from an unauthorized dealer. The watch sales retail from and authorized dealer for $5,400.00 but Avi & Co sold it for $4,399.00 for credit card or $4,269.00 tax free with shipping included (Brand New, never worn, manufacturer plastic still attached. The seller contacted me today and confirmed he received my wire payment and got my shipping inform
Hi all, Went to pick up my 1680 Red Sub from an A.D. finally ready from being serviced after 9 weeks; they still have their own factory trained techs on site with quite a labratory. Not sure if I am allowed to mention names, so I won't, but I have to say they did a fantastic job. Well after picking up the watch, I decided to put a deposit on a brand new GMT BLNR! I was so nervous that my 1680 I had picked up began to feel very tight on my wrist, LOLThat being said, I guess I'll be able to start posting in The General Discussion section as well very soon! There is no promise date, but they believe the watch should be available by May 2018, which is fine with me.Cheers everyone
