Seiko ASTRON SSE003J1 - wobbling stopwatch hand
Hi,couple of days ago, I bought Seiko ASTRON SSE003J1.It is a nice piece, and I like it so far.I have some kind of observation where I want to ask.I have aligned the stopwatch (Chrono) hand to position 12 o'clock, according to the user guide. But I noticed that the stopwatch hand is somehow wobbling. When I click on the watch from any side (like 4 or 5 times clicking), it moves to the right or to the left by 1/5 or 2/5 part of the second. So, the stopwatch hand moves a bit in a margin of around 2/5 to 4/5 part of the second around the 12:00 axis with normal daily use.However, the stopwatch functions normallystart stop and pause are all OK.This results in having the stopwatch hand not exactly in the middle with my daily use.I read in another thread that some one observed a similar symptomlink: forums.watchuseek/f21/new-astron-chrono-8x-series-please-post-pictures-comments-impressions-1210442.htmlRe: New Astron Chrono 8X Series Please post pictures, comments and impressionsI have a 6.5

Time Setting Method?
Hi Folks: I know this must seem like a rather obvious question, but a comment made on anthor thread got me thinking. In that case a comment was made about taking the "slack" out of the works when setting the rate and time.In our modern day of "quartz crystal" watches I think we have become used to simply popping the crown and setting the time, which is good enough for most applications, right? And we all know that there are special machines now for setting the optimal time and rate for the older mechanical "railroad" PW. My question is whether there was some special protocol for setting the accuracy of the a Railroad watch BEFORE the advent of the electrical timer. I was looking at a manual for a Hamilton but it turned out to be a Navigation Clock rather than a PW. Does anyone have thoughts or a particular approach that they use? Best Wishes, Bruce
