After one swing and miss, Seiko is back in the rotation.
First, thanks to Atlanta Dave for his help. An SKX175 arrived in dinged up condition a few months ago so it went back, and since then I have been looking to add another to fill the slot that was vacated by the OM. Picked up a President's bracelet after seeing Dave's and getting his thoughts on it, and then just had to wait for a decent deal on the watch. Turned out to be an 009 which works for me! Help identify this watch...would it be worth getting it repaired/restored??
I was out hiking with my girlfriend yesterday when I spotted something shiny sticking out of the mud. I picked it up to discover it was a watch without a strap. It looked fairly old but I couldn't make out what brand of watch it was as it was full of condensation and water. I wound it slightly only to hear it start ticking to my amazement. With nobody around for miles I put it in my pocket and we continued on our hike. When I got home that evening I opened it to allow it to dry out and discovered it was a Patek Philippe & Co watch. There was a good bit of rust in it. The glass is fairly scratched and the face has what look to be mold or mildew marks on it. I've tried to identify the watch online but haven't seen anything that is identical although some very similar looking movements.Can anyone identify this watch? How old it is?Would it be worth getting this watch repaired/restored by Patek? I imagine that would cost a significant amount given its condition and has now lost a lot o

Vintage 18 kt Baume Mercier Ladies Watch
Hello all!I am new to this forum and I hope you can help me, because I¡¯m REALLY confused. I have a beautiful (18 kt gold with sapphire stem) ladies vintage Baume Mercier, but I honestly haven¡¯t worn it for years now. It's kinda like it's too small for my armOr my arm is too big. It is in great working condition so I¡¯m thinking I will sell it.BUT¡­I am trying to figure out how much it is worth. And that¡¯s where the confusion starts. I have found a few pages with the same watch (model 38328), but those three pages have given me three VERY different ideas of what I can get for it. On one of the pages a similar watch, but with a gold strap, sold for $4200. Obviously because of the gold bracelet. On another page the watch (with a regular strap) sold for $500 and on the third page the watch (with a black leather strap) was for sale for $2950.So now I¡¯m wondering how much is realistic¡­ Any of you have any ideas?I¡¯ve attached a few pics.The watch is marked 730843, 38328 on the back and does NOT

Anyone got the new white diver?
Is it really limited edition of 200? I'm considering white vs. blue diver. Love the blue one but the fact that the white one is LE makes me lean towards it for a better resale value. Of course white strap would be swapped with the navy one from day one.Adding a poll as well.

5164 vs 5726
My local AD dealer has 5164 and 5627 in strap available This is going to be my first Patek purchase. I love both of them. This is really a hard decision for me... i need a little help from Patek community to help me decide5164 is more casual and 5627 is more dressy ....which watch would you pick as your first Patek?? Or should i put myself on wait list for 5167 or 5711??Thanks in advance
