While watches don't seem to generally be affected by seasonal trends, I do, for whatever reason, associate summertime with military-style watches. Has Rolex priced itself out?
There's a poll in the General Forum that's 36-to-8 last time I checked saying the $9000 Deep Sea is way over-priced. Now I'm sure the watch will sell-out, at least short term to real Rolex fans. And many of the poll voters would find any 9k watch over-priced. But here are my questions:Is Rolex pricing itself out of it's market (high end machine made mass production)? Will the bubble finally burst? Will horologists migrate to rarer and more "exclusive" brands? And if so, what will happen to Rolex resale, which, in my opinion, is the only thing that justifies the price tag on the brand. I'm not trashing the watches guys (I understand the historical import of many Rolex break-throughs and designs).

Ceramic Watch Review (Lots of Pics)!
I just pulled the trigger on a Lucien Piccard Celano (Unisex), and it was a lot of watch for the money. I got it from thewatchery.com on a special sale for $299 + shipping to Australia. Omega SMP - First Service after 16 years
Got a recommendation for an Omega UK service centre off a member of another forum I frequentMy trusty Omega SMP started to run 5 min's fast every few days so after 16 years - it was time for its first serviceThe cost of the service was 25% less than I was quoted from 2 high street ADs plus the recomendation from somebody who had used before - was good newsI put it in for a movement only service - no polishing\ no cosmetic refinish. Reason being if I wanted a new looking smp - why not buy a new one. All the scratches over 16 years (& there's not that many too be honest) all mean something & add up to what the watch means to me\ been with me over the yearsAnyway - took about 5/ 6 weeks & arrived back last Thursday.Well packaged on returnOmega service pouch inside the hard plasticj boxmore bubble wrap inside the pouchFinally ..........Should have wiped the dust from the watch before the final pic. Just wanna say thanks to all forums members for all your posts. Wife and I finally pulled the trigger on a his and hers. Happy wife happy life. Her wrist is super tiny but the 1392 works for her and she loves it, as do I love my 359.
