Arizona Fine Time visit
Just got back from visiting AFT today. Met Gary who was great at showing me all their Seiko lines. I was there to see the GS gmt, which did not disappoint (hopefully I can swing a deal!). It was really cool seeing so many spring drive watches in one place, and Gary couldn't have been nicer or knowledgeable (he handles their cigar biz mostly, but still knew his stuff about the watches). Sorry I missed Joe, but did have a chance to briefly say hi to the owner, Mitchell.It was cool being in a place (I wouldn't call it a store, more like a friendly place to hang out, talk watches, and smoke a fine cigar, which I did) with such a variety of cool stuff- watches (10+ brands of swiss, german and japanese), cigars, shaving tools, etc. Even my wife was happy sitting in the "lounge" watching 6 tv's and having a cigar with me. Vintage G-shocks
I'm not familiar with G-shock, I bought a box of watches and in there were these two G-shocks, one is a waveceptor tough solar and the other is a vintage DW-5700 any info on these would be great thanks all.

I have another stupid question ......
Speaking of mechanical watches .....the wind up kind ......when you can only wind it a little bit , and it still runs .....what's going on .....I mean, a lot of my watches you have to wind them quite a bit to get to the end .......I think this is probably very good ....but what's going on when you can only wind it a bit ......and it still runs pretty well.....I'll have to check the Zodiac I have in mind about this question and see how long it runs for .....

Nautilus Book
Having taken delivery of the 5711/1P and wearing it constantly for the last week I thought I'd better get to know the piece better and the changes over the last 40 years.Just received this great book, 206 pages and so much detailed info. Covers all the Nautilus models (most detailed info is on 3700) up to and including the 40th pieces. Some of the copy period advertising of the Nautilus models by PP contained in the book is very interesting. PM me if anyone would like info on how to obtain a copy.

What can make a watch go from gaining time to losing time?
Recently I've noticed that 3 of my watches, including my Sub LVc, have started losing time, after years of being gainers. I only know the basics about the inner-workings of mechanical watches, so I'm kind of at a loss for what could be happening. My first thought was magnetization, but I looked into it and if my understanding is correct magnetization causes watches to gain hours per day or to gain and lose erratically. Are there other circumstances or things that can cause a watch to go from gaining to losing time? Has anyone else had this happen to their watches?Thanks!
