Maurice Lacroix MP 6228 wrist watches news:
Following the debut of the first American-produced mechanical watch movement made since 1969, RGM Watch Company is now producing its own watch cases in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The first RGM cases to be produced are those of the 151 series of automatic watches, including the 151P (black-dial Pilot model) and 151E (classic style with engraved dial). In addition to having the ability to locally manufacture the standard 151 cases in stainless steel or gold, RGM is introducing a titanium version of the 151 – the brand’s first titanium production model. The next style scheduled to begin production is the 42 mm case designed to house RGM’s Caliber 801 – the large-size hand-wound movement that is also made in the Lancaster region, which is home to RGM and was the birthplace of some of the greatest watches in American history.
I have a couple of watches that I inherited from my grandfather, that I am looking for some ballpark value estimates on. The Rolex is a Day-Date w/ 18k gold case and band - band is the hidden clasp type. I am pretty sure it was purchased in the 80's on a vacation to Switzerland. The Tudor is stainless steel band and case. I have no idea when the Tudor was last serviced or how old it is. Tudor is manual wind. Both are in good working condition and both keep good time. I have a slip on the Rolex from when it was serviced in the late 90's. Thats about all I know off the top of my head, there may be more info on the Rolex with the box and paperwork that I have, if there is anything else that will make a difference. Pics below. And thanks in advance. On a side note, the acrylic (or whatever it is) crystal on the Tudor is in pretty rough shape as you can see below. If anybody can suggest a place to get the watch serviced and the crystal replaced I would appreciate it.
Does anyone know were I can get the Corduba Black Rubber Link Strap? I want to change my white bracellet for black.thanks everyone!
I found a Seiko 5 in a toolstore in Istanbul. Nothing special, it looked lost so I bought it, you know how it is - - - you just can't walk away
Ok , so life happened and I've become a One watch guy for awhile ... As I loved both the BLNR and the Bluesy Sub C plus my TT Sub Black dial 5 digit ref ... I trimmed the collection down to one hopefully temporarily... The TT Black dial Sub went on to greener pastures and so did one more ... Can you guys guess which one survived the cut ??? Not that I can't say, it's just makes it a little more fun between the 2 because they are both excellent and stunning references in their own right plus the decision wasn't easy either .... So which one stayed and which one moved on to greener pastures?BLNR or Bluesy Sub C... ?Prior thread if interested:https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=532861
