Maurice Lacroix MP6148-PS101-220 wrist watches news:
. . . was in my local AD last night looking for a birthday present for my wife. While I struck out on THAT project, I spied an AT that I had never seen in person before: the AT 2503.33. White with blue markers and hands. I always loved the photos - never got to see one up close.Until last night. When the AD offered to chop 20% off the list price . . . fuhgeddaboutit. It's either the most casual dress watch I've ever seen or the most dressy casual watch I've ever seen. Not sure. Don't care. I just love the thing. It's the "old" one with the 2500. Definite change from my quartz Seamaster Bond diver.Thinking about throwing a nice leather strap on it for winter. Really like that look. Anyway, I had to share. Don't tell my wife that her birthday funds (OK, some of it) is sitting on my wrist. Sorry for the lousy Blackberry photo.
A Tourneau Store opens a couple miles fron my house tomorrow and they had all the windows dressed up today.I live in close proximity to a number of AD's but I have to say that Tourneau, being dedicated to timepieces only, has the best selection that I have ever seen in one place.Given what I have heard about their lack of discounting I ,very well ,may never buy there but I sure will look. They had a nice selection of U-Boat watches (which I have never seen in person)Those bad boys dwarf the Russian Diver!!!! Way too big for me.The Bell & Ross Instrument watches were nice, but again, way too big! They also had a nice showing of Omega,Oris,Longines,Baume et Mercier,Corum,R.Weil,Tag,Hamilton,Rado,Breitling,M ovado,Cartier and their own branded watches. The certified "pre-owned" window was mostly Rolex (Daytonas,DJ's,Subs,a Yachtmaster and a Cellini)Omegas were also well represented in the pre-owned inventory as was Patek.Looks like it'll be a great place to visit on a regular basis.
Dear TRF,Please update on the new AP Ceramic models! (Novelty & Diver) I am in love with them and am wondering when can I hold one personally to see how it feels!I understand that they are new for 2013 but doesn't have any news on when they're gonna launch at ADs? Also, what is gonna be their price range?
After uttering the words ¡°nautilus aren¡¯t for me¡± many times, I suddenly developed an insatiable itch for wanting to own THE nautilus. Once a watch nut gets an idea in their head, as many of you know, there is only one way to scratch that itch: INCOMINGIMG_0168.jpgWhile for years I preferred the 15202 over the 5711 as I found the 15202 to be the ¡°original¡± Genta and loved the lack of a seconds hand, legendary caliber and the bracelet on it, my initial impressions of the 5711 1/A are very good. The watch is incredibly comfortable and the dial is really magical how it changes in the light: probably the only correct answer is to own both! FullSizeRender (2).jpgLook at those ears!FullSizeRender.jpgUntil KarlS ships me his 5711P, we will make due with these two blue dials.IMG_0176.jpgThanks to various TRF members and friends with whom I¡¯ve chatted offline (cc: goog53, JorgeCCW, racerdj and subtona)! Have a great weekend and Easter holiday.IMG_0177.jpg
Do Rolex boxes differ hugely?Model, age etc. Do the more expensive watches come in a fancier 'casket'?It would be nice to see the variationsTucking her up for the night.
