March 13th is my birthday so my wife surprised me w/an overnight trip to Atlantic City. I,m not a gambler so I know when to walk away, plus I don't get a "high" from this particular activity. Anyway I played black jack for a couple of hours, and after initial investment of $1000, I walked away w/$1700. Worked for me. Afterwords we walked into a jewelery store(Rolex ad) and I got a chance to try on a Deep Sea. WOW! It really is the club sandwich of watches(to quote a member of this forum) . It's really unnecessarily thick for any watch. I didn't feel it was too heavy but then I've only had it on for a few minutes. It'll probably will weigh your hand down at the end of the day. I felt the same way about my Omega SMP chrono. It's a heavy, noticeable watch, after 10 hours or so, and I work out regularly. Anyway, like some of you guys who've had this watch, I concur. It's unwearable. I don't wear suits and dress shirts, regularly, but this sucker wont slip under any sleeve. Basically it c
I paid a visit to my favorite AD in Mexico City today to check out some prices of watched in my "wanted" list.I went there to try on a Milgauss, Turn-O-Graph and Detajust since those models were at the top of my list, what a surprise...The Datejust felt to "old" for me (being 32), the TOG looks so much better in pictures that I almost didn't want to try it on. The Milgauss is very nice (especially the black dial version) but it felt weird, I would like to own it but I wouldn't want to buy it as my 2nd Rolex.I currently own an ExpII and the Milgauss feels more like a 3rd or 4th Rolex than a 2nd.They were out of SS subs but as much as I like I wouldn't want to buy another watch with the same bracelet as my current ExpII.In pictures I thought the GMT IIc was kinda ugly, but I tried it on and I was sold, I WANT IT and I WANT IT BAD!That's going to be next Rolex for sure, watches are more expensive here than in the US, especially since we have a 16% VAT, but the lady has seen me there a cou
A while back I posted about this watch about value. Long story short I ended up getting the watch. The first thing I want to do is get an omega 2 tone bracelet band for it. Other than eBay does anyone no where I can buy one at a resonable price? Actually I don't even know what it costs new. Also if any of you have one please pm me with details!Anyway any help is appreciated and thanks in advance!Dale
Hey I noticed the mov inside my panerai is a bit noisy compared to my other watches and some times i can feel the rotor spinning inside. is this normal for panerai watches? Also when i wind the watch my the crown it does not feel as smooth as my rolex lets say? it feels like a cheap watch would when you wind it kinda (not saying the panerai is cheap!!)I know these are noob questions but put my mind to rest!!Also in my 279 in the band they use push pins instead of set screws!! why o why!?!? for the money they should not be using push pins in the bracelet... it should always be set screws... what do you guys think of all this? any answers to all my questions?
