Maurice Lacroix MP7138 wrist watches news:
Hey GuysSupposin' you could get the technical geniuses of Bienne to build you one special go anywhere, do anything watch. What features would it have?I'd like the following -1) Water-resistance Say 200 to 300M. 300M isn't strictly necessary since I only dunk my wrist into water as opposed to dive but 300M sounds better 2) ChronographI find a chronograph useful. In fact I use it most days of the week so stopwatch functions would be necessary3) AlarmI think this speaks for itself. I'd prefer a mechanical watch so it'll have to be a mechanical alarm4) DateAgain self-explanatory. I'd get tired of having to refer to my computer or cellphone5) Manual-WindingThis might seem anachronistic but I do like the daily routine which helps in the bonding process.I think that's about it. I could consider a GMT complication as well but this probably isn't a high priority if the movement was a derivative of the cal 8500 which would allow for an independently adjustable hour hand. You may take it as read t
So, I sold a watch on the bay, and I had never opened the back.....and the guy who wrote it ( from Poland) just wrote me that it has a Vulcain dial and the case and movement are from peugot .......now, lucky for me he didn't pay much for it, but just wanted to check with the vast storage of knowledge that lives here, to make sure that it's a marriage, not the way Vulcain usually puts it watches out ......I will refund the guys money no problem, but why on earth would someone put something like this together, Vulcains that are simple stainless steel, about 35 years old, and are NOT Crickets, are simply not that valuable ......?????
She hadn't worn a watch in years, so I bought her one without her knowing, and gave it to her. She had seen a lady's Rolex DateJust in an AD awhile back, but figured I'd test the water to see if she'd consistently wear one before buying such a nice time piece. She's received a couple compliments on it so far, so hopefully, she'll jump on the WIS bandwagon too.Anyways, managed to get her to stop long enough for a couple pics.
Which would you prefer?Am I mistaken when I say the diver retails for 19k and the stainless steel extra thin (JUMBO) retails for about 22k? Or is there a larger price difference?
I got my first Rolex today from Alfred. A 16622 A serial Yachtmaster. The watch is in great shape, the bracelet is much more stretched than I was expecting but for the price it¡¯s worth getting fixed on my own. I took a couple pics to share with you guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
