Maurice Lacroix MI2011-SS002-130 wrist watches news:
It has been several months now, closer to a year than not, since the Pebble smart watch hit Kickstarter and created such a huge buzz. They raised many times their initial funding request with their iOS and Android compatible smart watch setting a Kickstarter record in the process. Since funds were raised shipping dates slipped more than once, however, and some were wondering if the watch would turn out to be another case of Kickstarter vaporware. Fortunately for us backers, that is not the case; the Pebble began shipping in late January in batches out to its backers. I have had the Pebble on my wrist for a few hours now and have some first impressions to share. The Box: The first thing that struck me was the packaging the watch comes in. It was a long cardboard box made from recycled material (13 x 4 x 1). Below the shipping label are the words “it’s time” and on the back is “meet pebble” with a render of the watch and a list of compatible devices. Very sim
Had this case knife for years and it is a great tool. Seems there are some Wakmannites here, so I thought I'd share:
Be easy on an AP newbie! So nearly stepped into AP with a 15400 but decided against it for various reasons but mainly not a fan of them once they have picked up a few marks! So here I am again trying to get an AP into the fold.Toyed with the idea of getting a Ceramic diver a year or so ago but at the time it would of meant selling off most of my collection, well this isn't the case now but guess as it's discontinued sourcing one is going to be the issue.
I read all the incoming posts but nobody every puts what they paid for the watch. Why is that? Don't say etiquette or it's in poor taste. It's the internet and here's goatsy, so please don't even bother. I'm seeing $7500 for a used explorer 2 on IG (when I bought mine BNIB for $6200 from a trusted seller)I'm seeing $8200 for a 2010 DJ2 when i can buy a BNIB DJ41 for $8400 today from a trusted seller. These prices are crazy and as the consumer it's up to us to take back the margins.Thoughts on that?
Would you purchase an old black bay, like 14-15 model (smiley face dial) with the old movement? or get the new one with the in house movement? and why one vs the other?? Trying to help a friend make a decision......
