- I was looking for a watch that was tactical, durable, and accurate. Between the other one and this watch, i would have to say that this watch is better. Same features, except you never have to buy/change batteries.

Maurice Lacroix PT6008-SS002-332 wrist watches news:
These days Ball watches are an easy buy. Well-made mechanical Swiss watches that tend to fit the bill nicely and their prices are more fair than inflated. Ubiquitous tritium gas tube illumination ain't bad either. Ball's core design ethos is split between original designs, al la Engineer Hydrocarbon creations, as well as faithful homages. This new Fireman Classic 40mm is among the latter. It isn't the first time anyone has given a nod to Patek Philippe, and this latest Ball watch is their interpretation of the the Patek Philippe 5107 from a dial design perspective. While the Patek will be only about 37mm wide on your wrist, the Fireman Classic is 40mm wide making for a nicely-sized dress watch. Hour indicators and dauphine hands are as close as Ball can get to the Patek look while incorporating tritium gas tubes on the face. You'll find the tubes neatly placed in the hands, as well as oriented vertically as the lume points on the periphery of the dial. The case is rather durable as well
Just got my Sub LV last weekend and wow, I can't stop staring! I'm wearing it everyday, and even sleeping with it! Is that crazy? My wife thinks I'm nuts hahaha. Sorry I don't have pics yet, but will get them up soon. I just got my computer reformatted and they forgot to install iphoto.Thank you all for your advice and insight in helping me choose my first Rolex. I pretty much followed everyone's kind words, especially Matthew's about getting an LV and changing the bezel to black. Which brings me to my next question: I know it's early, but wanted to try and track down the black bezel insert. Anyone have one or a lead? I posted in the FS section, but thought I'd try here too. Much appreciated!
The dealer took what seemed like f o r e v e r to ship my new watch. It finally got here day before yesterday and I got the bracelet sized last night. I've had some long days at the office this week, so I'm slow getting this one in the rotation!I really like the very simple, clean lines of this "tool" watch. Definitely not a beater, but really well built.
Or 8 per second....
Just to get away from 'things'?This one is so easy to photograph.Happy Easter.
