- Stylish stainless steel watch featuring a somewhat angular shape. When clasped it has a bracelet appearance which is very attractive. Also has a very nice, polished feel. Quite an eye-catcher.

I thought I'd seen most SMPs and Speedys, but this one caught my eye and is unfamiliar. It's a #3552.59 "Speedy Racing" chrono. Copy says it's an automatic with a sapphire crystal. "Swiss Automatic" movement (hmmmmm....which one?).Anyone familiar with this? I kinda like it.
I have searched and cannot find a good thread on this yet - maybe someone can give me a link? So far, the most substantive thing I've heard is "buy the seller" etc - but I am looking for something more specific like what exactly makes a seller a "good buy" on the various online sources. For example, say ebay seller does not offer returns but, according to ebay policy you are "protected" if there is a material misrepresentation of the item. What are some practical examples of what is or is not material representation - and even if you make that case to ebay what's the process? I can see how even no return policy might be do-able for me personally as long as there is a long, positive history for the seller delivering the goods as expected. How does Chrono24 compare? Seems like they have both guaranteed and non-guaranteed options. What about something more subjective, like, scratches or dings that are not visible in the photos? Probably stuck with the watch, right? It appears folks like B
Alright well after looking at Rob's thread my excitement for my new arrival was slightly diminished, but I love it none the less. Plus this is a watch that maybe not all of you are aware of.I had the chance of picking up this watch from the designer and founder himself today in San Francisco (Jeff Kuo, a really great guy btw). I was undecided on what color I was going to choose so I got to try a couple on and after going back and fourth a couple of times I landed on the off-white dial of the Tyndall. This watch contains the beautiful elaboree-grade ETA 2895 (as seen in a few B&R and Cartier pieces). I really love the lugless modern design of this watch, very unique and striking in person. Goes well with jeans and a sweater as well as a suit. The details of this watch really sing, from the cork lined strap to the polished rings around the case. You have to see this watch to appreciate it. Along to a few pictures I took (I know I know I need to find a new setting for my pics)The love
Hi! First time poster here... please be gentle if I¡¯m asking a question that¡¯s been asked already, but I searched through the forum, and couldn¡¯t find a satisfactory answer. =)I just sent in my Dad¡¯s Datejust 16014 - I believe it¡¯s from the late 70s or early 80s to the Dallas RSC. I don¡¯t ever intend on selling it, but would like to keep it in the family as a heirloom piece. My Dad left the family when I was a child, so I don¡¯t really have any sentimental attachments to it, but it¡¯s just a rather cool piece, it being a relatively old watch. I¡¯m debating whether I should replace the dials and hands. I understand with new dials and hands I will lose the tritium, and the overall faded vintage feel. Considering I don¡¯t intend on selling it, should I just have them replace it? Any other factors that I should take into? Thanks in advance! Btw, just placed an order with my AD for my first new Rolex - an Explorer 1... can¡¯t wait!
