Submariner sent to Texas service center for servicing
I noticed that my watch was running about 10sec + fast /day. After reading how to send in for a service, I sent my Submariner to Texas service center today via registered mail + return receipt option.Hopefully I can get it back soon.. Anyone with similiar experience w/ Texas service center and how long will it take?I miss my watch already..=(

Greetings TRF,Here we have a beautiful 1976 (or thereabout) Omega Seamaster with the reference number ST 366.0848, something that was passed down to me by one of my mentors in Gotham. This thread is dedicated to him. If you flip this watch, you will find its bracelet and clasp......As well as its caseback with the classic Seamaster logo.Now once you pop it......Well...let's not even try to describe it. Rather, allow me to show it to you...Omega's caliber 1020, an automatic movement with day and date indicators! The hairspring...I always need to take a picture of it. Boy am I glad this one's shock protection device has an incabloc spring, it's much easier to work on those...It's more difficult to take pictures of an automatic watch's movement because of the rotor but I still managed to find a few good things to shoot.The logo on the rotor is very subtle, just a very fine little detail that makes it look nice! ...And some other pictures! First Panerai - 01000?
I'm deep in the Panerai research after trying on a few on vacation earlier this week. I don't want to drop a lot on one (at least now), which is just as well because I really only prefer the plainest dial versions. I tried the Duo and a couple of others, including an auto, but I really want a manual wind version.I originally stumbled across the 00112 online, which seemed pretty perfect, though out of production now and it seems hard to find. So would the 01000 be a decent option in its stead? I guess my question is, of those two, which should I buy based on the long-term (I plan to keep what I acquire).What I haven't quite deciphered yet is the movement in the 01000.
