Concord C1 QuantumGravity Movement (And Whatever Upcoming Watch) Annoys Me
My problems with Concord all started with the "revitalization" of the brand a few years ago when the Concord C1 watch line was released. I wrote this article discussing how (and why) I didn't care for the design of the C1. The brand keeps coming out with new watches all based on the C1, some more hideous that others. Then came out the vertically aligned tourbillon watch, and most recently, the tourbillon version of the Concord C1 will be supplemented with this new movement, the C1 QuantumGravity - and I am thoroughly annoyed by it.It is funny, because other watches and watch companies do a lot of the same things that Concord is doing, but the marketing and attitude at Concord irks me the most. I've dropped by the forum on occasion to lurk and drool when I have a free second. The silver dialed Spitfire and black dialed Ingenieur have practically begged for me to take them home but I've resisted so far. Who knows how much longer that will last. I finally took the plunge on my watchmaker's recommendation and purchased a late 50's SS dress wind IWC with the manual winding calibre 89. From what I've read and been told, this is an excellent movement - nearly equal in quality to the Vacheron Constantin 1120 according to my watchmaker. I always respected the brand, and being a vintage kind of guy it made sense to grab this.Anyway, if time allows I'll see you guys soon!

First AP: Royal Oak or RO Chrono?
I am thinking about picking up my first AP. I have long been a Panerai Collector and am thinking about venturing into the world of AP. I thought I wanted a ROO at first, but after looking at a bunch, I have decided that I like the clean lines of the normal Royal Oak or RO chrono. I understand that the Chrono does not have an in house movement, and I can live with that since I am used to the Older Panerai's having the same thing. I am a bit torn between the 41mm black dial Royal Oak and the same black dial Chrono. Any opinions or suggestions? Thanks in Advance.Jordan
