- This watch is stunning! It looks even better in person than it did on the internet. I have received many compliments on it already. There is one blem, it is rather large.....I have a wrist and in examining it, there doesn't seem to be a way to take out any links. But I compensate by wearing it higher up on my wrist. I love this watch!

Michele MWW02M000024 wrist watches news:
Anyone considering buying a tourbillon knows that Swiss-made watches with this decidedly complex escapement typically carry six-figure price tags. So it came as some surprise when Corum showed us their newest whirlwind, the $43,000 stainless steel Admiral's Cup Legend Tourbillon Micro-Rotor. (For $59,000, collectors can enjoy the same complication in rose gold.)
The most interesting, or I should say curious, introduction from Rolex this year is the Air King reference 116900. First, I never really expected to see an Air-King at all ever again after the new Oyster Perpetual was brought out last year, but here it is. And on top of that, the Air-King is back in, frankly, a semi-foreign form as a 40 mm, anti-magnetic aviator's watch with a multi-color logo. We'll get to that, so let's first talk about the brand new Explorer, which is a really similar watch, also introduced this year, that, in my opinion, will be often compared to the new Air-King. The Rolex Explorer Reference 214270 1 OF 4 The new Explorer features new luminous applications and longer, wider hands for better legibility. So the new Explorer reference 214270, as introduced here on HODINKEE last week, is very much the same as the outgoing iteration of the same reference with its Oyster Perpetual case at 39 mm, 100-meter water resistance, and in-house caliber
If I want to make a fine adjustment on the clasp I just push with a pin remove and move the spring bar I presume. But the links don't have pins, how do I remove or add links? If someone could explain thanks in advance.
Well, here we go again. Whilst looking for a newer MM300 for a friend, Doug advertised this one on SC and before I knew I'd bought it!! It was fair enough, though, as the day before I'd sold my SAR to Tony so there was room enough for a beater. :icon_biggrin: Annoyingly, I bought another bezel for it based on Doug's pics but the fact is it really doesn't need one as the hairline scratches can only be seen from certain angles in certain light. Hey, ho, I never learn..I don't know what the heck it is about this watch that keeps calling to me but I hate not owning one. I've had a couple of these, then an MM600, back to another couple of these, then the venerable and top of the range SBGA029 Spring Drive Diver and now back to the good old MM300 again. Oh, and just for the Hardlex whingers, this one has had an AR-coated (underside) sapphire crystal fitted already..So what is it that lures me back to this one over and over again? I'm not sure really but it's like an old friend. We part compa
I have noticed some nice looking watches with PVD cases and PVD bracelets. I am wondering the experience of owners of these watches with the durability of the PVD finish on both the case and the bracelet. In short, are they pretty tough or do they scratch easily? In my experience, stainless steel cases and bracelets don't scratch easily and if they do get scratched, it does not show. Just wondering. Cheers, Bill P.
