Frederique Constant Classic Moonphase Review
When Frederique Constant released the Classic Moonphase a few months ago, it seemed to turn a lot of heads. Staying true to the brand's philosophy of creating accessible luxury timepieces, the watch boasted a new in-house caliber (more of a variation, to be picky) and a decidedly Patek-y look for a relatively low price point. Coming in just below $4k, the watch offered a lot of value for an in-house movement, and an aesthetic that often costs an arm and a leg to obtain. It also showed off an eye-catching flip-open case back, which gave it some unexpected panache.The last time we reviewed an FC it was the spiritual cousin of this watch, the Slimline Moonphase, which used a similar movement, and achieved high points for style and finish. While the watch was a winner, one of the complaints a lot of people had about it was the 42mm diameter. Just curious what everyones professional opion is on frankenwatches? I was considering purchasing several same type hamiltons and using the best parts from each to make 1 watch. Is this procedure forbidden or fairly common, and also is there some sort of "numbers matching" system that collecters will tell you if they are an all original watch or is there no way knowing if this has ever occured to any watch???just curious, lots of questions and ideas floating around right now. Thanks in advance

hi all,am kinda interested in getting a jumbo for myself..however I can't decide if i should get the pre-2012 15202 or the '12 15202!just saw the pre-2012 15202 at my ad today and i must say it is quite the looker! haven't got a chance to see the '12 15202 in the flesh though.. if you guys were to choose, which would you guys go for,the pre-'12 15202 or the '12 15202, and why!
