Montblanc N06612003 wrist watches news:
This is a pretty incredible new timepiece from Angular Momentum. The figurine is actually part of the watch, and is situated on one of Angular Momentum¡¯s new Time Gallery watch cases. Even if you have no idea what Il Moretto (aka "moretto Veneziano"), or a Morcic figure is, this is a pretty significant departure from your typical luxury watch. Let¡¯s go back in time for a moment a few hundred years to Italy and Croatia to understand the development of this symbol. A Morcic is a bust figure of a Moor. The figures always have Caucasian features with dark skin, and are luxuriously dressed while wearing a turban headdress. The idea of the figure was to be ¡°exotic,¡± and was typically used a good luck charm. Sailors began to have Il Moretto figurines as earrings or pendants as a ward against pirates (mostly Turkish) , who often plagued sailors who sailed along the African coast and in the Mediterranean sea. While the figure's face does not have a specific analog, it obviously has influence fro
Shinshu is home to the Seiko Spring Drive movement and also the only production facility in Japan (and the world) for Spring Drive equipped watches under the Grand Seiko, Ananta, Credor, Galante and Izul labels:MB Žž‚Ì*H–[Hope your Japanese reading skills are up to snuff. Unfortunately, Google translate neither Babel Fish work on this type of flash web page. These watchmakers have won international competitions and have been granted honors directly from the Emperor of Japan. They even create their own custom tools to build the movements.Enjoy!
Hi Guys,Just wanted to say hi. I'm a big fan of this brand and have a quick question for you. I have a Jazzmaster Chrono and I noticed that the main seconds hand does not line straight up to 12. How difficult would it be for a watch maker to fix this and what would something like this cost to make this adjustment? Thanks.James
First off, I admit I am "rain man" when it comes to putting up pictures. I signed up for photobucket but with my iPad am still having difficulty transferring the photos so sorry you'll have to look it up. The watch in question is the Navmar pilots (naval aircraft tribute watch). I bought it 2years ago on eBay and am quite satisfied with what I paid, considering it has a eta 2824-2 movement( at the time it was $225.00 for 3 of the same watches free shipping). I mainly bought it to gift it to friends and family but have grown quite fond of it myself and kept one of them. The price has gone up to $295.00 plus $6.95 shipping since my purchase but feel it to be still a good deal considering the 2824-2 movement which keeps good time in mines. I'm unsure if it's just standard or elabore? Here's my research after the fact. It's Swiss made, 47mm(large face), 310L SS case( seems a bit lighter compared to 316L due to more nickel make up) dial has a gold embossed Anchor/Wings/Shield in the m
I love Dive watches for the look and the fact that they are durable but since I do not dive (or even swim!) I realy don't use them for their intended purposes.I have read many posts about using the bezel to time everything from parking meters to steaks on the grill. For me this would not work.If I used a watches bezel for such things I would get tickets and burn the steaks. If I am timing something that closely I require an audible alarm. If I simply set my (silent) bezel I will ,no doubt, remember much too late that I was timing something .If I really need to time something I need a sound to make me aware that the time has come!BTW-the same goes with chronographs.I cannot count the times that I have activated the chrono function to see how long a trip takes only to notice ,hours later, that the chrono is running!!
