The Watch That Won The War...
Well, not really. It's a Citizen WR100. But it is my "Combat Watch".I bought this watch back in, if I recall correctly, 1985, right before I transferred from San Diego to Charleston, SC:I was still wearing it when I transferred back to San Diego in 1990 and, in 1991, when I deployed to the Persian Gulf for Operation Desert Storm. I wore it the entire time I was deployed; right about 10 months. It walked the streets of Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra, and Jubail, and was in combat off of Bubiyan Island in the northern portion of the Persian Gulf.The watch was relegated to "drawer duty" years ago. This morning, I was looking for something else (I can't even remember what it was), and happened across it. I can't remember the last time I put a battery in this thing, so I took it to the office with me and, during lunch, drove over to my jeweler. She replaced the battery and inspected the watch. She said it was absolutely pristine inside and gave it a clean bill of health.I ordered a carbon fiber strap

Bomb Proof Spring Bars Needed
Today for the third time in about 5 months I hade a spring bar spring outthankfully the watch caught on my sweater and did not drop. I have 20mm width bands and 20mm spring bars and wonder if someone makes spring bars that are a little more bomb proof than the typical spring bar sold with watches, watchbands, etc. If such things exist, where can I, and others, find these a little more bomb proof spring bars? Would a 21mm springbar (if such exist) be betterthe logic being there is 1mm more "insurance".Thanks.

I need a watch I can wear casually with jeans but still occasionally with a blue button down shirt. I don't own a blue dial now, but thought I'd put a blue strap on one of my favorite vintage watches:I still like the strap on it, but now that the brown croc is on the Breitling this Seamaster won't see as much wrist time - which is a pity because it's a regular in the rotation. I thought I'd put a blue strap on it so I went shopping for some ideas. I'm stuck between these two....Ostrich:Croc:I haven't had a nice blue croc since selling the Daniel JeanRichard, but I've never worn an ostrich strap and I hear they're very comfortable & pliable.
