Ok, here are the facts...Many time ago, I got a beautifully finished, brand new Tissot PRS 516, Retrograde Chronograph (pictured in the wrist check for today), but unfortunately, it had a factory defect, and the chronograph seconds hand didn't worked, the rest of the watch was perfectalso the chronograph worked well (the other sub dials had no problems)As it was somehow a good deal (almost 300 bucks less than the AD) I decided to have it fixed locally, instead of sending it back to the seller (BIG MISTAKE ) , and first the watchmaker who looked at it said that the fix was easy, and will be around $30, so no problem here, this pushed to the incorrect decission (This should be one of the answers to this thread by Arthur Kramer) How do we know he did it right?Well, after leaving the watch for the repair, the surprise was big when the *dam* watchmaker told me that the movement was sealed, and is not serviceable, and it has to be changed completely (Don't worry, I don't use this watchmake
I am curious if you AP enthusiasts know of a way to change the bracelet of a ROO to a strap / visa versa besides taking it to an AP boutique. I recently changed my Panda from bracelet to strap and as I'm about to go on a trip, am thinking that I'd rather have it back on the bracelet so that I can take it in the water.Rather than going back and forth to AP, is there a preferred method or should I keep torturing myself and my bank account every time I go in there? So some of you might read my thread on letting go my DJII. I did and found a good grey dealer in the city and they have 3 BLNRs all with good price. Never thought that I will picked this one up, because when BLNR was announced I always thought the blue seems like out of place. But now, I can agree that I think this is the best modern GMT out there. Anyone thinking to grab this, I can ensure you to grab this as soon as possible and don't look back. Even if you need to pay a little bit of the premium. Another thing that I need to highlight is the grey dealer who I've dealt with.
