Movado 3600075 wrist watches news:
I just picked up a vintage Benrus. Don't know anything about this watch but it looks nice and it will be my first project watch. It was 25 bucks so I can afford the lesson with this one. I really wanted to buy another Hammy but I'm not willing to take a lesson for any more than the 25.00.Anyone know anything about this model? I found it interesting that the case back shows "Benrus" different than all the other ones I've seen.According to the swamp posting the watch runs and keeps good time. Thanks for any info. I'll send pictures of movement and wrist shots when it gets here.
Hey guys !TRUE size 6s American Trench Watches are among the hardest to find and obviously some of the most sought after models to obtain. This 1917 Elgin Trench Watch did NOT start out as a pocket watch ! ! !The case was made to be a trench watch and is NOT a pocket watch case conversion like others that you will see ! ! !This case is CRAZY big, it measures 46mm lug to lug and 42mm with the crown.Size 3/0s Elgin trench watches are much smaller, around 36mm by 31mm on average. There are a couple versions of Philadelphia "Silverode" size 6s cases but this one is by far the most difficult one to obtain. (I'm sure Greg will drop in on this one)The second that I saw it I just had to have it and soon there after it was mine, all mine ! ! ! (well two days later). Movement details: 1917 Elgin, size 6s, grade 286, sn 20559586This trench watch has TRUE SIZE 6s ELGIN MILITARY HANDS ! ! ! ! !These hands are so hard to come by it's not even funny ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! The Roman numeral dial on this Elgin
Which is the best repair center in the US? Quality of work and return time. I broke the crown on my 2254 and my local watch repair man said that he can not guarantee water resistance because of the helium escape valve.
I traded the last of my Rolexes today, towards the grail I have posted about so many times. Welcome the Nautilus!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1359609891.658549.jpgBut somehow, I know I'll be back. Thanks to all who helped me decide. I actually had the 5711 in mind, but found this. I love it for all the reasons most do not like it-not a traditional looking Patek. The weirder the better in my book. Heck, just look at my favorite Rolex (now sold): the 1630 automatic in the quartz case! Thanks again, I'm sure I'll keep lurking and get drawn back in (Platty Pres lookin' mighty fine in that ice blue!)Cheers!
After spending most of January looking for a new addition to our collection she picked a Wonderful 31 Oyster perpetual with a lovely Silver Dial. Our local AD which we have known for sometime in Canterbury treated us to a bottle of Champagne with a few added extras..After the wife spent a short time admiring our new purchase while I popped over to have a look at the wolf winders..I pop back to the desk to take a few photos and totally unaware there's something not quite right..The wife is looking the other way trying so hard not to give the game away..trying hard not to laugh..Still totally unaware of what my wife and staff had done... Rotten lot well I really need glasses...
