I came across this picture of original Hamilton paperwork from the mid-1930's:Note the part that says the movement will tell you when it needs service. Hamilton seems to be saying if it isn't broken, don't fix it. Contrast this with a 1950's LeCoultre book that I have which says that the watch should be serviced on an annual basis.Different strokes for different folks I guess,gatorcpa
