I sold my first 1680, and figured if I was going to buy another, it might as well be a Red Sub. Sorry should have been in the vintage section.

I would like to inform everyone on the very good service I received from Nesbit's after sending in my 2009 SM GMT 50th Anniv. for its first service. The watch had slowly started to act up over the last year where the reserve power would drop off more and more along with other indications showing I needed to have it serviced. Because it was my daily watch and I liked it so much I wore it longer than I should have. I finally decided to put it in the drawer to force myself from making it worse and to also save up the cash for the service (it's part of how we budget things in our home). I checked a number of posts to see the experience folks were having across the country at different shops. After two months of saving and researching, I sent out a couple emails to prospective shops. After getting my numerous questions answered by Jan Nesbit; I sent the watch off to her. Her initial estimate was 30 days so I was quite surprised when she indicated the watch would be finished early at app
Some of you are old enough to remember Dylan singing(?) that song back in the '60s.Well two years ago, I made extensive changes in my collection and feel the urge to do so again. There are a couple of watches I have been eying. One is a watch I sold in the last renovation and have the opportunity to buy back. The other is a replacement for my EXPII sans Cyclops. So if there is anything on my list that interests you, I suggest you keep an eye on the sales corner. How about you, do you feel the urge to change some things?Fr. John?
I¡¯m aware it¡¯s a bit of a read, but I¡¯d love to share my story:I've had a love for watches for quite a while now. From $150 Diesel watches to my Squale 20 Atmos that I've worn lovingly for the past few years, the goal was always the same: a Rolex submariner. I grew up constantly eyeing my father's 16613LB. I recall at one point, long before I was old enough to realize the severity of my careless action, I put his watch on while he wasn't home, and proceeded to run around playing outside with my neighbor. I can still remember the look of his jaw dropping as he pulled into the driveway and I came running up to him to show off his watch on my wrist (still surprised he didn't kill me back then). At long last, my own turn has finally come. I made the mistake of lurking on TRF a while back, which only fueled the fire. I made it a point to begin saving up. Back in August, I hopelessly walked into an AD (#1) and asked about the Hulk. Naturally, they didn't have one in stock, but I gave them my
