Swiss made, Holmar Automatic, probably (maybe) from around the 1940 or '50'sHolmar_e.jpgIt belonged to my Great Aunt who passed away many years ago.Single jewel so probably nothing spectacular but a pretty little watch.I'm thinking about cleaning it up and giving it to my wife.Needs a clean and lube and a band.I've searched all over the 'net and checked the reference books at the library but can't find any information at all about this company.

MSRP for this piece is about $35k USD and I have seen it online from some reputable grey marketers BNIB/papers for $30-31...as low as $28 on Chrono24 (but no idea about the dealer). What are the benefits to the AD route? Is there any other value the AD can add to the transaction? I am aware of the many pitfalls of g
