Doxa¡¯s founder, Georges Ducommun, was a car nut who had a gas station at his residence. Today Mr. Ducommun¡¯s former home is Switzerland¡¯s largest horological museum, and the gas pumps can still be found there. What about basing a collection on independants?
I've been thinking about how I may be able to narrow my collection a bit, and it strikes me that I seem to lean towards brands that are small & independent like Bucherer, Borel, Buler, Edox, Mirexal, and Titoni. Not sure about Ebel, Gruen,or Festinaare they still indi?With this in mind, could you folks help me assemble a list of (modest) watch companies that are still on their own?Any help would be appreciated.Cliff
