Is the model number still laser engraved on the case?
Hi AllAfter re reading Bo's great review of the Milgauss GV, one picture depicting the features of the case caught my eye.On the diagram you can see how 11640 is engraved on the case and would usually be covered up by the bracelet.I didnt realise that Rolex still laser etched the model number to the case. Now with ROLEXROLEX on rehaut as well as the serial number at 6' o clock does that mean the serial number of old that was also added to the case is now gone or is it still there?Cheers all

I'm not an Omega fan; my bestie at home has a few and I have to be honest and say that I don't really like any of the ones he has. However, since seeing Dave (DCheeta) sporting a Deep Black in this sub-forum a few months ago, I've been looking at it more and more. It's really blown my right skirt up.I've read more times than I care to remember that Omegas are usually better bought pre-loved because the prices don't fare too well in the used market.I can pick one up from an AD here, brand new, at 20% discount. Is that a good price or is it worth waiting for them to filter onto the used market? I'm picking up another Panerai next month so I'm in no rush

Question about Guillermin Co in regards to a 1948 ref 96
I recently received my ref 96 back from service and got the Extract from the Archives as well, it was my grandfather’s watch and its been passed down. My dad always thought he bought it in the early 50s, but according to the extract from the archives it was purchased in 1948, which is pretty cool because my grandfather had to flee the Czech Republic and then fought during the war so he had nothing, and he must have done fairly well in the three years from the end of the war to when he bought this.My question is does anyone have information on Guillermin & Co? I see here on the Extract from he Archives that it says the case “112” was provided by Guillermin & Co, and there is no registered case number from PP. It also says that the type of watch is movement only. Does this mean that the movement was purchased by Guillermin & Co, and then cased by them and sold as a Patek Philippe? Any info would be nice, I am just trying to get some info about this watch as

SubC ND Newbie Questions: Maintenance, Rubber Strap
Hi guys, new member here. I've recently fallen in love with the 114060 and just had a few questions before I take the plunge. Also, I realize there will likely be a waiting list for this one, but I'm not in a rush at all, so no worries.1. How often would I need to get it serviced, assuming every day wear, and taking it on dives 0-2 times a year? How much does this usually cost?2. I am thinking of putting it on an Everest or Rubber B clasp strap immediately (just because I like the casual/black look). I will probably keep the brand new bracelet in the box. Is it weird to have the watch age, but have a brand new strap (for example if I decide to sell it a few years down the line)? Is this actually more desirable, or no difference?Also, please let me know if there's anything else I've forgotten to consider. Thanks very much guys!
