Omega 123.50.27.60.02.002 wrist watches news:
For 2010 Cabestan brings us something totally new. A fantastic new design dreamed up by talented watch designer Jean-Fran?ois Ruchonnet. Yes, of course, the watch is similar to Cabestan's previous model, the Winch Tourbillon Vertical watch - but is actually more affordable (relatively speaking of course). Gone is the tourbillon, complex winch mechanism and double sapphire crystal over the movement on the face of the watch. Also, instead of the fusee chain transmission is a new gear-shaft style transmission. Cabestan watches are incredibly well finished and made. Much of this is thanks to their in-house master technician Eric Coudray. A classic watch maker by all accords who takes incredible pride in his work. The idea of the Nostromo is be more accessible, mechanically fascinating, and user-friendly. Plus, Cabestan loves the idea of basing the name and design on the spaceship from the classic Alien movie. Time is remarkably easy to read. There are several drums on the dial that are engr
Breitling has finally released a new movement (sort of) with their 04 class! It resides in the new Breitling Chronomat GMT, which is just the day before. Its a terrible 47 mm Chronomat with a GMT complication. And as the Rolex GMT II and of the Omega Seamaster, the main hand of 12 hours is used for the local time and is indexed on the date, so it can more easily be used for travel. A nice touch and a good blow on a part of the Breitling do that instead the opposite is much less useful for travel. The only thing which lack this watch is a window 24 hours a day. Instead, you get a diving-account countdown bezel and 24-hour scale is printed on the dial. However, I think more interesting is the possibility that buyers can now purchase a Chronomat in a larger format 47 mm.
Hi AllI am currently looking at the JeanRichard brand but know very little about them and information/real life pics are hard to come by. So I just wanted to see if anyone here has any experience with the brand (Dennis, I know you have a very nice DJR) and pictures etc. I am aware that the are in the same family of companies as GP and it is certainly evident in some of their case designs. Also, I am interested to understand if the JR1000 movement is in fact an in house movement and where this brand might sit within the tiers (in the context of the one below posted by Thwizzit). From what I have seem, as limited as it is, I would have gone with 3 assuming they are making their own movements, otherwise 4. Hey all,My wife just got me a slightly early Christmas present this weekend...it was not really a surprise since both of us walked into the store together...but she agreed to it, so that is just as good as her getting it for me!! :D I have been eyeing the Omega Hour Vision for over a year, but the admission price was just too high. I almost got it a few months ago when Bailey Banks & Biddle was in the early part of bankruptcy and was offering 20% off on the watch...but i still thought that it was too expensive for an Omega. Anyways, we went to the store again yesterday just to browse and see if there was any bargain to be had. Well, this is the end of Bailey Banks and they were offering 50% off on all their leftover high-end watches. I was thinking of picking up a Breitling or Tag for daily wear. When i passed by the Omega counter, there it was...the ONLY Omega left...the Omega Hour Vision...the same one that i have been drooling about for over a year! And it had the 50% off
Alright - let me set the stage slightly - i'm generally a flipper...grab a watch at a good deal, wait for someone who wants it for more, make a couple bucks, and flip again.. it's been good to me. 5 years of flipping and I've got my RO for the cost of an old beatup sub I picked up for a couple K. I've now gotten into reach of getting to the Grail - a PP. Ideally a Naut. (Worst case a Calatava or an Aqua) having read these forums for years now.... 1. Aquanauts seem to be generally just looked at as a you couldn't afford a naut eh? - is this a general thought process, or is this just a thought process for those with Nauts? 2. Am I better to save that last bit so with a flip of the RO and one payment go right for the Naut, or get the Aqua or Cala in the mean time... Resale seems so tight on PP I feel like I won't be able to gain off a flip3. Maintenance - It seems staggering..Is this the case or are people hard on their watches?if the 3 is true... don't' get me wrong, I do pretty well...
