Can anyone tell be anything about Ben & Sons watches? It says Swiss made with assembly elsewhere. Nice looking and priced similar to Invicta, etc.

First ever Perpetual Calendar - Patek or Breguet?
I was watching one of my favourite shows called Auction which also featured the record breaking Sotheby's auction of Henry Graves Jr supercomplication, and recently saw the hammer go down on a beautiful 1518 owned by Gene Autry, the first Perpetual Calendar Chronograph made in a series by a watchmaker, and heavily responsible for putting PP at the highest echelon of the HH map. It seemed especially relevant as we have had some wonderful PCC incomings here recently and most of the rest of us dream of owning one some day.I also wondered what the first Perpetual Calendar watch ever made was and discovered that it was between a Patek, the 97975 made in 1898 but for a women’s pendant watch, and a Breguet, the 4244, but while it was made later in 1928, the caliber was made for a wristwatch. Scratched dial on new Patek
Bought a Patek 5167 last week from my local AD. It was brand new and sealed fresh from the factory.Over the weekend I noticed a very faint but long scratch on the dial. It's only visible from certain angles and under very strong light. It runs from near the 4/5 o'clock hour markers all the way up through the last P in PHILIPPE and finishes near the 12 o'clock marker.I'm just wondering what I should do. Whether I should return the watch or just get used to it. I don't really want the watch to be gone away for a long time and I definatly don't want PP to polish or scratch the case or anything like that. I've had small, faint scratches on a couple of Rolex dials which never bothered me so just wondering what you guys would do in my boots please.Here's a couple of photos. It was very difficult to photograph under a magnifying glass and I could only capture parts of the scratch.Thanks for looking.

My Rolex journey began when I was a young 21 year old cop posted to a punishment duty of a gaoler for turning up late the previous early shift. I was wearing my obligatory G shock watch, magnum boots & ironed blue shirt when I noticed an old boy detective in his thirties wearing Levi's, tee shirt & a cool watch. I started talking to him whilst carrying out the punishment shift of mopping the cells, making numerous hot drinks in styrofoam cups for the waking prisoners and microwaved breakfasts. I asked The old boy about his watch & he gave me a history about Rolex submariners & how he got his. I immediately decided I wanted one. The next 18 months I worked every overtime opportunity & each month paid it to my local AD. It cost ¡ê2160 (I think) & eventually I had worked for & owned my first sub. Then I fell in love, bought a house & under duress sold the watch to pay the stamp duty tax.History repeated itself & I worked overtime & a few years later
