Gold Fever?
GuysDo you find gold attractive?I've noticed an increasing proportion of younger folk moving away from buying gold. It could also be to do with price of course. My perception is also that gold is perhaps far more desirable in the far east or is this just a false impression that I have? I think yellow gold is more popular in the east than red gold. Perhaps some of our members form distant parts may offer a view on this.I do like red gold which as you know, isn't gold at all. Not on or in everything though. I think it looks specially nice on the De Ville Prestige Co-Axial Small Seconds. As a dress watch it looks so much the part.

Wittnauer and Butex Just Got Here.......
I have been slotting each watch I just got inbto it's correct sub-forum, leaving these 2 with no place to go except here........The first is this wonderful Wittnauer......I love this watch .........I know it's not in good condition, the dial is funky, and the case is slightly dented , and the gold is wearing off, ( someone loved this watch too) but the band is orginal, "Styled Wittnauer" written on the catch...and it's only a 15 jewel watch, and the movement isn't as clean as most ......but none of that matters .......I love the way it looks ......I suspect it's from the 30 ?......anyone else have an idea about that .....oh and it is a man's watch ......then there's this very funky Butex.....but I do love the red arrow second hand .....I can't get the back off so I have no other infor on it....the case is well worn, the crystal is scratched, but that's a great sweep second hand ......but I know nothing about Butex.....

Opinions on how this Sub C looks
I tried on my buddy¡¯s Sub C last week and was wondering if everyone felt the same as I did. I just am not thrilled with how it looks on me. Despite being impressive, I think for my wrist I much prefer the look of the older style case. I guess this rules out a SD43 Thoughts?

But here goes...I travel a lot on business and pleasure, to major cities in the US and Europe, never have any reservations about jewelry or a nice watch on my wrist. Next month I¡¯ll be in Frankfurt, Munich and London with a long weekend in Bologna, Italy. That¡¯s where I¡¯m uncertain, never been before, traveling by myself. I¡¯m undecided - SS DateJust, fluted/oyster, Explorer or Breitling Avenger on blue rubber strap. Not losing sleep over it, just curious what other travelers think. Thanks.

Day Date 36mm Too Small
I'm finding 36mm to be too small for a watch these days.I used to love my gold DD 36mm however it just seems too small compared to other watches.With the trend towards watches 40mm or greater I'm wondering if others are finding 36mm to be too small for a gents watch.I love trying on watches and my wrist isn't that big, but when I try on a watch less than 40mm it seems better suited for my wife.
