Parmigiani Unveils New Bugatti Watches at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
Parmigiani, the Swiss watch brand founded by watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, introduced two new collectors’ timepieces to its Bugatti collection, made in collaboration with the prestigious automobile maker, at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The timepieces ¡ª a rose-gold version of the Bugatti Super Sport and a new titanium Bugatti Vitesse ¡ª made their debut alongside a restored classic automobile, the 1935 Bugatti T57S Electron Torpedo. The event in Pebble Beach, regarded as the most prestigious of the festivals of classic automobiles held in the U.S., provided the ideal setting for Parmigiani to launch its newest Bugatti watches. Tried a Few Nice Pieces
While in London last week, I had the opportunity to try some great pieces in Wempe New Bond Street:- The new 44mm ROO in SS- ROO Jarno Trulli- also snuck in a PAM231No pics unfortunately, but I made some good decision making progress, also realising how skewed my thoughts on size have become, after wearing the Bronzo for a couple of weeks.So, the 44mm ROO is utterly fantastic. It didn't feel that big (see what I mean), but the only aspect that bugged me was that the shoulders almost overhung my wrist top to bottom. Its just a little to long for me, if that makes sense Lots has been said about the Trulli, so it was just nice to finally handle one. Felt a little dinky in the present company, but what a killer stealth piece.Then the shocker for me, as I really didn't get on with the 44mm Rad. Looks like I'll have to stick with the 1950 cases

"First Omega in Space" Speedmaster
Some of you may recall that I intended to build a custom First Speedmaster in Space back in 2004. I went as far as fabricating this caseback:with the insignia of Schirra's capsule, Sigma 7. Circumstances did not permit me to complete the project but perhaps I can still use the caseback someday. BTW, I just got off the phone with my longtime dealer and he has just gotten four more First Omega in Space numbered editions in stock.

Would you trust a watch with a sketchy history from a reputable AD?
Long story short- very reputable local AD. I was checking out a Submariner circa 2012. He explicitly pointed out the watches warranty card was tampered with and altered by the former owner- he had literally taken a sharpie, blacked out all original info, and then written a 2016 date below it. Watch was in great shape and about $7500. What would you think in this scenario?
