- Only blem: part of the strap is elastic, which stretches out and wears out well before anything else. This part of the strap should be nylon and non-elastic for durability.

Hi everyone!I have not been around much lately, so an email prompt from Idleswede got me thinking I should stop by and say Hi!Hi Leo!! :DWent to NJ a few weeks back for my 20 YEAR high school reunion and I had to stop by my favorite hoagie stop while I was visiting. Notice how we got my watch in the shot Miss everyone and yes I am doing just fine!!

Advice for a first Longines for my wife
Hello,I've been thinking of buying my wife her first Swiss watch. And I've been thinking a Longines because I rather like their esthetics. I'm looking for a small one, with just time and day of month. Unfortunately, I'm a complete newbie.My question is, esthetics aside, are there movements that I should turn my eyes to? How about ones that I should avoid? I mean, are there movements that tend to maintain accuracy longer, be more durable, or require less service? I'm not talking about vintage because I can't necessarily find them in Hong Kong and I don't have any friend who knows enough to check for authenticity with me. The bottom line: if it's one of the better movements and I can still find it at a Longines flagship store or distributor in Hong Kong, I'd probably take it.Anecdotal stories about your modern women's Longines would be great, too.If the consensus is that all modern Longines movements are equally good, I'd take it too.Cheers.

mechanical watch - time setting
I just tried to change the time on my mechanical watch (omega speedy pro) by plucking the crown outward. But to my surprise, the watch keep on going and does not stop. On my other automatic watches, once the crown is out, the watch stops running so that I can sync time. Is this different on a pure mechanical wind? Or is somethign wrong? Thanks!
