RGM Pennsylvania Tourbillon MM 2 Watch
I wasn't sure what to expect when I first laid eyes on the movement for this RGM Pennsylvania Tourbillon watch (which I discussed here). Sure the final version isn't much different than the preview I saw a while ago, but seeing it all put together with case, text, hands, and finishing is really satisfying. I feel a nice level of price seeing this timepiece, knowing it is all American. It really doesn't have too much to do with the fact that "we can do it." If Americans needed to build a tourbillon watch a while ago, we would have. This isn't an achievement in technology or engineering. Rather, it is a signal of our American appreciation in fine watches. That we care enough about good looking, traditional watches to invest enough to make our own. That for me feels good, and a positive sign that Americans are taking timepieces seriously again. I've joined the Rolex club once again
Many thanks to Scott D for guiding me through the purchase the entire way! I can't wait to cancel my name off the local Rolex AD's "lists" here in Vancouver. It's been approximately a month sitting in and out of a USPS, box then to a UPS box and making its way from Rolex SC NYC -> Georgia > Washington State > cross border to me this past Saturday. It was a special opening with all the kids away and out of the house (yesterday early morning (3-am Sunday?), so I got to open my early Christmas/birthday present from my wife, with just her alone! Benrus"hinged" engraved bezel
Just pick up this neat little engraved Benrus. I love the engraved bezel. When I opened the case to check out the movement, I was a little shocked to see that the bezel, case, and back are all hinged together.These are the "before" pictures. I'm sending it to the watch doctor to get restored. I will post "after" pictures when it returns.Anyone know anything about this model? I know there are many old and new Benrus fans on this site. Movement says 15 jewels. Inside case says "14 Karat Gold supported by metal". I assume this is another way of saying gold plated?

Need Help Finding Replacement Omega Strap
Hi Fellow Members,About 6 months ago I purchased a Omega Speedmaster White Dial Chronograph Ladies Watch (32433384004001) for my wife. The white leather band is already trashed and I would like to buy her a new leather band in both the white and red leather colors. This weekend I went to an Omega Boutique near my house and they wanted $301 for a new leather band. Can anyone here let me know if there is a good place to buy genuine replacement leather bands at a discount ? I can not find any place online that sells genuine bands.I think the part number for the red leather band was 98000124 FCAny help would be appreciated...Thanks,Tesla
