Help me not break my 'new' vintage watch!
The watch in question here is a 1960's Omega Seamaster De Ville, with date function. I was going to put this in the Omega forum, but I figured most of my questions would be general enough to warrant placement in the "general" forum! I really want to post pictures, but unfortunately my camera is MIA and has eluded me all weekend , but I would at least like to start wearing it around. Basically I just have a number of questions I would like answered so I can feel confident in wearing it (this is only my second watch!).Is there any way to tell if a watch has been serviced or needs serviced? The seller I got it from on ebay was a jewelry store and insisted the watch had been fully serviced, I have no reason to not believe him but want to be sure. The watch looks in to be in very good shape, and I have worn it for about 2 days just to test it and it seems to be running strongnonetheless my paranoia persists. If the watch is mechanically sound for the moment, whats a good schedule for check-
