Rado R48837703 wrist watches news:
Since the "ninja" dye-job was too much for my 11 year old DW-004 (the bezel crumbled the next day after dying) I decided it was finally time to get that inverted dial 5600 that I've been lusting after ! I just ordered a DW-5600B-1AVER and a pair of strap adapters so I can put a nato on it and use it as my beater. Can't wait to get it!
Hello everyone,Excuse me if this should be in the watch winding discussion, but it's mostly about why my new watch won't wind on any watch winder.I am a newbie to watch collecting and was given a beautiful Locman Montecristo watch as a starting gift. Love the watch, but am new to automatic watches. I don't wear this watch every day, so I decided to buy an automatic watch winder. I went with the expandable system by ACCURATIC that can be purchased on amazon. My problem is that the Locman will not wind when placed in the winder. It stops after a period of time. The Orbita database says my watch contains a "Base Valjoux 7750" movement and should be wound CW at 800 TPD. Are there watches that can't be wound by a watch winder? Do you think there is something wrong with the watch and should be sent back to Locman for service? Just doesn't seem right that it can only be wound by movement on my wrist.I did a test and waited till the watch had no energy left in the spring and then held the watc
So, just how waterproof is the Moon watch?I don't mean personal use, such as I never go near water with mine etc. I mean genuine information with regards to showers, swimming, and 24/7 all conditions wearability? Do Omega guarantee it's use in these conditions? I know they are waterproof to 50M but how does this translate to the real world? Thanks for any input Toby.
I recently acquired an Omega Seamaster GMT. Anyway several weeks ago I wrote a letter to Omega Customer Service.Yesterday, I got a surprise in the mail.An A4 envelope all the way from Switzerland and it cost over 5 Euros, those Euros are expensive too Omega were kind enough to send me an original of the COSC testing results on an authentic COSC sealed certificate. The certificate was presented in a clear plastic sleeve and with a backing card, so it arrived in mint condition all the way to the bottom of Down Under It is a bit difficult to actually work out how good the results were in comparison to other movements, but they look pretty good to my untrained eyes.Anyway, it is an outstanding jesture of customer service for Omega to do this without charge. It does add a great compliment to the watch especially for the enthusiast.I'm sure that if another company put there mind to it, they could somehow also do this for their enthusiasts, particularly as the 'credit card' lacks the imprima
