Omega 14700 2 SC wrist watches news:
Here is a watch that we unfortunately didn't see at Baselworld this past April, the new Peter Roberts Grand Complication 5. "New" is used softly here as this watch is actually based on a design and concept from 1972. Peter Roberts is a renowned British watchmaker, lecturer and consultant that created a watch, called the "Concentrique," as his graduation project from the famous WOSTEP (Watches of Switzerland Technical and Educational Program) watchmaking school. It is a timepiece he still wears all the time, and has been asked for quite sometime to produce and sell.Forty years ago, the Concentrique was ground-breaking as it was the first wristwatch with five centrally mounted hands, offering the time, chronograph seconds, pointer date, and a GMT hand all spanning from the center of the dial. Roberts was only 20 years old when he developed the mechanism that allowed for the Concentrique, and the watch was never commercially available or put into production, until now.Peter Roberts' perso
Hey GuysI know we all have an affinity for time machines but how far back do our tastes go?Retro styles have, astonishingly to me, been in since around the later part of the 90s if memory serves me well. Very evident in cars it seems with the return of chrome and deja vu designs in dashboards. But watches have not been immune to the return to bygone days it seems.Contrasting the contemporary looks of the Aqua Terra

I'm looking for some advice. For those of you who know anything about this watch I would love to hear your thoughts. The seller is willing to sell it to me with the full metal band and in pretty good vintage shape for $2800. Should I buy or pass for something else?
For the sake of the forum I wanted to find out why so many are having problems installing their Omega rubber strap.O.K here is what I came up with. I tried installing the rubber strap with a new set of spring bars. It was a bear!!!! I see what some of you are having problems with. First of all you need the correct spring bars in the diameter 1.78mm. This is a double shoulder spring bar in size 22mm for the 45.5mm Planet ocean. Do not use a single shoulder spring bar. (See pic below) I want you to first test fit your spring bars without the strap. Try it and see how easy they fit in the holes of the lugs. The PO has very small holes drilled into the lugs. Some after market spring bars have a larger nipple end and it may not slip easily into the holes of the lugs. Either buy other spring bars or file the end diameter of the ends of each spring bars. Once you are sure they fit correctly, try installing them as seen in the pics below. I am using a spring bar tool with a small forked end. F
