Omega 190.0016 wrist watches news:
At SIHH last week, Cartier introduced a new in-house automatic movement known as 1904-PS MC. It powers the new men’s Calibre de Cartier line. The movement features twin barrels to provide a steady flow of power to the escapement, and the regulation system allows for fine adjustment to increase timekeeping accuracy. A stop-seconds system facilitates synchronization to a reference signal. Cartier also paid close attention to the winding system. Ceramic ball bearings at the center of the rotor ensure excellent shock resistance and durability. Cartier abandoned reversers in favor of a pawl system to speed winding, and a bi-directional full-size rotor assures maximum winding efficiency. The movement measures 25.6mm in diameter and 4mm thick and it beats at 28.800 vph. The power reserve is 48 hours. The rotor and upper bridges are finished with traditional C?tes de Gen¨¨ve, and the main plate, which is hidden from view, is circular-grained.The Calibre de Cartier case measures 42mm in di
A buddy of mine and I met for lunch today. He wore his Panerai and I had on my Oris Titan Chrono. Four middle-aged men were soon seated at the table next to us. Three of the four (I'm not making this up) were wearing black/ss Rolex Subs.I like the watch. Heck, I've owned three of them (one was the green LV) and enjoyed wearing such iconic timepieces. But at lunch todayit felt great to be different.
Heres the skinny:I bought my ROO about 9 months ago. It stopped keeping time well so I took it to my authorized dealer and they sent it to AP for repair. This was on 5/30/13. I received a call from the AP repair center stating that the reason for my watch problems was compression damage that voided my warranty. So I have to pay $2000 to repair a watch I just bought. To make things worse, they said it would take 3 months to repair. Just called them today to get an update and now they say watch wont be ready until mid September! This cant be right!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone else had similar experiences with AP and their repair services. Am I getting screwed here...cuz it sure feels like it!
Hi Guys, could I please have your opinions on this mint 1969 speedy.
Let me fill you in on my thought process of the big 3 battle (3570, 3572, 3573):I've read all the debates and after viewing hesalite vs sapphire today, understand all sides now which makes it even more difficult.I can definitely see what the allure of the hesalite is and it's not just for moon watch purists. The dome and the the light cast from it are beautiful. BUT, I was surprised how close the sapphire was. Not completely night and day IMO. Also, the sapphire back was not as much of a deal breaker as I thought it would be. The movement is beautiful, but with the bracelet on, the field of view of it is not that great. (looks so much cooler on the internet ;) So my final answer is... The 3572.50, because it is discontinued and very desirable for good reason--it's simply the best imo. Second would be a new hesalite 3570 and third would be a new sapphire sandwich. If I bought a used speedy with unknown service should I immediately service it? (on a 3572 it would be at least 9 ye
