I was waiting for someone to do this. It was only a matter of time before the watch world was able to release a budget version of the Corum Bridge watch. Storm UK was the one that did it. Of course this is not a replica or the same watch, but the concept is the same. A mechanical watch with a thin bridge-style movement in an otherwise empty and see-through dial. It certainly looks cool on the wrist.Let's be honest, you can't precisely compare a Corum with this Storm Mekon. While they exist in the same thematic family, this Storm will never replace a Corum in terms of pure horology. Where the Mekon does win is digest-ability. For just a few hundred bucks you can have the look and feel of something that would otherwise cost many thousands. Most people can handle that.I don't necessarily get the name "Mekon." Given to me by my father.The second of his two nice watches he ever bought.This one he bought as he used to fly.He owned a Single Prop back when I was young, wantedme to learn to fly and was going to give me the plane...After a couple lessons I realized I liked to party too muchand didn't like to get up that early (this was when I was incollege and high school) but most importantly I just didn'tlike being in control of the planeI am a great passengerbut don't wanna have the stick...I wear it a couple times a month, it is not my typical stylewatch but I like it and always get compliments on it.IF anyone here knows more about the history of this modelI'd love to hear...

I just thought i would share some pics of my recent purchase. I wanted a RO that i could wear in more dressy situations, hence my choice for a silver dial and for a 37mm. Had to add two links since i have a large wrist.So far, i really love it. Dial looks great, with varying colors depending on lighting. 3120 movement works well and is great to look at. And the ST bracelet is divine.Have not seen much love for the 15450 on the forum. But i am quite new on TrfCheers
