Hi,I came across this watch at a garage sale as a part of a lot of stuff I purchased. It looks to be a beautiful old watch and I am looking to learn more about it. Any Help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I Removed The Eye
Last week I bought (won the bidding)a watch on e-bay that has almost everything I wanted in a watch but it HAD one thing I loatheThe big EYE (as in cyclops). I say had because I just removed that big wart of an eye. I followed the directions from the youtube video that was posted a few weeks ago. Thank you rtomson for making the video. The link is below. Here is what I did and the cost of doing it.1. Bought 1 torch lighter for $2. This is the type of lighter that has a jet type of flame and not the regular type of flame from the average lighter. I bought the lighter at a cigarette/cigar store. Apparently these lighters are good for lighting cigars.2. Bought i pack of single edge razor blades for $4. I have a retractable knife (the type that you break off the end when dull but wanted something I could easily work with that had a thin edge.3. Can't make my mind up...It's a keybolt compressor style quartz Seamaster, apparently, I have been informed from another watch forum. It's the only vintage watch I have (well, it's my dad's), and it has an Omega 1342 which is a pre Swatch Group calibre. it's in for a service at the moment but I think my dad may be planning to sell it; he wants a Rolex and I think this watch is in the firing line. Should I try to stop him? It's his to sell of course, but I may be able to sway him if I can convince him (and myself) that it is cool enough. To me it's a lovely dresswatch (I don't own a dresswatch) and a piece of Omega history but I'm also happy for him if he gets that Submariner he wants. What to do...

Finally picked up a Radiomir
After missing a nice 210 on the board three weeks ago I was on a mad hunt for another Radiomir. Couldn't find one for the same price/condition/full set anywhere afterwards, but patience has never been a stong suit of mine. In the meantime, I started looking at the 380 but wanted my last Panerai to be a sandwich dial.Found this 232 by accident, but the seller's pics weren't so hot and of course sometime in the past the prior owner changed out the original strap and buckle. Pretty much wrote it off. I had been talking with Mik, and he convinced me to have another look. The seller provided more watch pics and sent info on the books, boxes, stickers, warranty card, and other pieces. Made an offer, and was very happy at what was delivered.Really have to thank Mik for his generous help. Without it I would have never ended up with a 232. This forum is full of such great people.
