Omega 2909.50.91 wrist watches news:
I was at two San Diego Rolex AD's yesterday and I got the same song and dance about how Rolex does not give out any brochures any more. Now I know this is not the truth as I have friends in the mid West and East coast that can get them.I have my friend going to a GTG and he said he would pick up some brochures when he is at the Rolex AD tonight and I hope he can find me some more Rolex items for my collection like tennis balls. I also found some interesting information on Rolex AD's store displays. Rolex will only give the store a certain inventory of displays and the store has to be accountable for all of the Rolex displays. I just bought a Rolex crown from a Rolex AD store in Germany, so how do they account for a display missing? I have no clue, however the display is really cool.
Just bought a Navitimer on a black calf strap w/deployant, but am thinking about trading for a Breitling Ocean Classic...thoughts? Why would/wouldn't you keep the strap I have? Why would/wouldn't you get the Ocean Classic bracelet for the Navitimer? Thanks!
First, let me start by saying, this is NOT a which watch is better post. Obviously, the best is very subjective and very personalized to ones taste. Instead, I am just curious as to which piece you would purchase if you were to chose between only these two watches. The first is the classic Patek Phillipe Calatrava. This is no doubt a classic and an icon. Unbelievable craftsmanship and a piece that will certainly be passed down from generations to generations. The second choice is equally impressive. This is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in Rose Gold. This piece is unmistakable and is pure luxury. The fit and finish on the AP is near perfect and the presence on the wrist is second to none. This is equally an heirloom that will be passed from generation to generation in a family. So, which would you chose? Both have approximately the same price tag and each offer the same features (3 hands and a date function). There is no question that each is as near perfection as you could ever
Traditionally I've always been a Luminor type of guy.Maybe its just the small child deep down somewhere inside of me but whatever it is I just love the interaction with the pull down lever and the oversized cog wheel winder every couple of days - oh, and it looks freakin' awesome too - bonus!Never really bothered with Radiomir's much, pretty much because of the reason above, just thought of them as sort of 'ok, but not for me thanks' kind of thing. That opinion changed quite dramatically recently when I stumbled across an internet pic of the Radiomir Firenze Acciaio PAM00672 - WOW! What an absolute beauty!!!Unfortunately, I have to accept that this piece will never sit in my humble watch box as its limited to 99 pieces and only available through the Florence boutique, the spiritual home of Panerai. The case work is hand engraved, so each one of the 99 pieces will be totally unique. The P3000 hand wound movement has been completely reworked and embellished with ornate designs to compliment
I have a black submariner with date and whenever I look at the black dial and bezel of a sea dweller I can¡¯t help but think it is basically the same watch. Yes I see the red line of text that says ¡°sea dweller¡± and I admit it really pops and looks great. Both watches are awesome. But overall they just seem like the same watch or nearly the same watch. Yes I know there are some subtle differences such as the movement, size, depth rating etc. Rolex has so many different styles of watches in different colors and designs my question to those that own both of these watches is:What is it that inspired you to buy both a submariner AND a sea dweller?
