Omega 222.18.38.50.01.001 wrist watches news:
Last week, we welcomed astronaut Scott Kelly back to Planet Earth following his 342-day mission in space by taking a look at some of his watches – both in flight and on Earth. And many of you expressed some interest in what appeared to be a larger-than-life 51 mm wristwatch. It is in fact very real – developed specifically for the most perilous missions. Today, we go hands-on with the Breitling Emergency (not Kelly’s mind you). 1 OF 12 A follow up to the 1995 Emergency, this version (originally introduced as the Emergency II, although the "II" has been dropped) the watch presents an improved personal locator beacon (PLB) capable of transmitting its coordinates on two separate frequencies. The decision to create a dual-frequency version of the original Emergency is a result of the decision, by emergency beacon monitoring agency Cospas-Sarsat, to phase out its satellite monitoring at the long-standard 121.5 MHz aviation emergency frequency &ndash
I was wondering if anyone was aware of an Omega Speedmaster dial registry that provided a single source for identifying the varying Speedmaster dials, or a guide for comparing them side-by-side. *For example, I have a Speedmaster, but instead of black on black, the registers are white and are arranged in the left side of the face instead of at the bottom, identifying it as 5210.51.00 - is there an at-a-glance resource (either online or in print) that has all of Omega's dial colors and configurations catalogued together?

1. Apparently the official watch of Mad Men is JLC.2. Wouldn't Omega and/or Longines have been a more historically accurate choice for the watches worn by upper middle class Americans in the '60s?3. Throughout the 60s, my father- an NYC municipal bond lawyer, and his brother- an NYC surgeon, who the same approximate age as Draper (late 30s and early 40s) both wore Omegas, as did many of their friends.4. What are your thoughts?5. Thanks.
So I've been offered a 5726 on bracelet and a 5712r. I don't want both. I like the Rose gold on the 5712r but don't like the power reserve or the fact it has no date or sweep seconds. The cons on the 5726 are it's not precious metal and I feel the case would be too similar to my Aquanaut. But I like the annual calendar and the layout of the dial.Tough decision. I'm buying one. Both brand new from AD. Help!
