Omega 2540.50.00 wrist watches news:
This is a watch that I have wanted for a long time. These are almost never available from independent sellers, and it is a rare luxury to see one offered at less than retail. This is the Marcello C. Senatore watch, that I have mentioned before. This timepiece has a design intentionally reminiscent of the Rolex Daytona. It isn't a clone, it just uses some of the same design principles, and that is OK. The 42.5mm wide watch has a 22mm wide bracelet making it a good size, and actually a bit bigger than the Daytona.I really like how German Marcello C. is able to modify the automatic Valjoux 7750 movement to give it a tri-compax layout. This is more attractive that the 7750's standard layout. The dial hands and main hands are strong looking and legible. Legible faceted hour markers look great, while the subdial design hearkens the Daytona perfectly. The bracelet is very different on the Marcello C. Senatore. It has a very fashionable look, which is an interesting contrast from the functional
The A. Lange & S?hne Zeitwerk is a modern marvel, and regularly tops the list of editors' and collectors' favorite pieces of the last half-decade or so.? So, when Lange introduced an entirely new limited edition of this ultimate in digital display mechanical watches with a meticulously hand-engraved dial called the Handwerkskunst, Lange enthusiasts went giddy with joy.? So much so that all thirty of this thirty piece limited production run have been reserved, meaning even if you wanted one of these, you couldn't get it.? 2 OF 16 But, while I was down in Palm Beach with A. Lange & S?hne for the grand opening of their first North American boutique (which we will show you in great detail shortly), we had the chance to go hands-on with this absolutely incredible piece of work. 3 OF 16 The case of the Zeitwerk Handwerkskunst is 41.9mm in diameter and made entirely of platinum, with polished bezel and lugs and brushed sides.? But what makes this particular watch
I really didn't have this model of Frogman in mind when I started looking...Saw one at an AD and it gained favor....Saw one FSBO and couldn't pass it up! I sold a Valjoux 7750 (Philip) and bought this, and have money left over! Not much but Ihave some left overThis watch is FAT...It rides tall in the saddle and weighs in at 164 grams. If I had to be critical, it would be that the pushers for the chrono are split in two (see pic) so they are hard for me to push one without pushing the other....But who uses the chrono anyway right?
I recently picked this one up at an online auction. It is from 2004, casebase says 7S26-0570 and on movement 7S26A. Seller advised it needed a good shake to get going, guess this was my warning but I carried on and purchased it anyway. So after a good shake the watch runs but only holds power for maybe 2 or 3 hours, less if I am driving. If the watch is laid face up on the desk it will run maybe 8 hours. Any suggestions ?
Hi guys,I own a few tudor/rolex watches. The Black bay, GMT and daytona. My wrists are quite small, however the way the daytona case curves its fits my wrist so well. The GMT and BB in comparison are bulky and just not as comfortable. Are the Day Dates a similar style of case? Also any other brands to avoid/look in to.Thanks
